Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Christmas is a time for giving. This year, McDonald’s Philippines launched a donation campaign to strengthen the holiday’s unique power of bringing families together and sharing blessings to spread happiness.

On Dec. 11, McDonald’s, through its charity of choice, Ronald McDonald House Charities, in partnership with Coca-Cola, put a smile on the faces of 100 families in Rodriguez, Rizal.

Residents of Sitio Pintor in Barangay San Isidro enjoyed different activity booths where they were able to bring home several prizes, surprises, and giveaways. They were also entertained by Ronald and the Gang, and Asia’s Soul Supreme, KZ Tandingan, who performed her own renditions of songs such as “O Pare Ko,” “Magasin,” and “’Til My Heartaches End”.

The kids felt the Christmas cheer while playing classic FIlipino party games of Newspaper Dance, Trip to Jerulasem, and Pahabaan.

The event was hosted by Sabrina San Diego. Other guests included Sitio Pintor Barangay Captain Karen Hernandez, Ronald McDonald House Charities Executive Director Marie Angeles, Coca-Cola Philippines Key Accounts Sr. Manager Anna Taruc, and Brand Manager Patty Manalaysay.

Aside from the fun activity booths and performances, residents were also gifted with McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen Meals, noche buena packs consisting of 8-pc Chicken McShare Box and Coke 1.5L bottles, and of course, Happy Meal toys for the kids.

McDonald’s Philippines encourages Filipinos to help create feel-good moments and share the light to those in need by donating via rmhc.org.ph/donate or scanning the provided QR code.

Through these QR codes, anyone could easily donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to support its several CSR programs.

Since 2020, over 800,000 Kindness Kitchen meals and two million Happy Meal books and toys were donated by McDonald’s through RMHC. This year’s beneficiaries include local government units such as Manila, Quezon City and Pasig, DepEd Region XII in Lanao Del Norte, Makati Medical Center, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, Metro Manila Development Authority, Presidential Security Group, and Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit to name a few.
