Metro Manila, Philippines – Law enforcement and customs officials seized 8,875 reams and 418 packages of unauthorized cigarettes with a market value of ₱8.5 million during an anti-smuggling operation in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
A customs bureau statement said the seized cigarettes branded “D&B,” “YS,” and “Marvels” are suspected to be without permit.
It added that a suspect was arrested in the operation.
