Metro Manila, Philippines – Content creator Arshie Larga drew praise online after extending fuel assistance to more than a thousand tricycle drivers in his hometown of Boac, Marinduque, as rising oil prices continue to hit the transport sector.
Larga said he distributed ₱500 worth of fuel to each driver during an initiative launched on Easter Sunday, April 5, which he later extended until April 6, benefiting a total of 1,169 tricycle drivers.

Larga, who rose to prominence for his educational content on medicines, clarified that the initiative was purely meant to help, amid speculation that he may be considering a run for public office.

Larga also thanked his supporters and four partner gasoline station owners who helped facilitate the fuel assistance drive.
Netizens praised Larga’s efforts, with many citing the initiative as a timely response to the challenges faced by drivers struggling with higher fuel costs.
