Metro Manila, Philippines – Local airlines said they have secured enough jet fuel to sustain operations.
AirAsia Philippines on Tuesday, March 31, stated that it continues to coordinate with suppliers, industry partners, and other stakeholders to maintain an adequate jet fuel supply.
Flagship carrier Philippine Airlines last week informed the public of having enough fuel to carry on with scheduled operations, including long-haul flights.
Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific sees its supply lasting until June.
Cancelled flights
The airline companies said flights to the Middle East remain cancelled.
Philippine Airlines’ recent advisory said flights are suspended to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia until April 8.
Cebu Pacific, as of March 26, advised the cancellation of all flights to and from Dubai, United Arab Emirates until April 20.
Both airlines said its passengers have the option to rebook or refund tickets, or convert the tickets into travel credits for future use.
