Metro Manila, Philippines – Several malls are shortening their operating hours starting today, March 30.
Following the declaration of a national energy emergency by President Bongbong Marcos, mall operators have expressed support by reducing operating hours as part of their energy-conservation efforts.
SM Supermalls, the country’s largest mall chain, said all its branches nationwide will operate from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
Both Robinsons Malls and Ayala Malls will operate from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends. However, Robinsons Malls noted that operating hours may vary by branch.
Villar Group-owned Vista Malls will operate from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends, although hours may vary by branch.
Filinvest Malls:
- Festival Mall — 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Thursday | 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday to Sunday
- Il Corso, Cebu — 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays | 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends
- Fora and Main Square — 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily
- Dumaguete — 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily
Megaworld Lifestyle Malls:
- Venice Grand Canal, Lucky Chinatown, and Southwoods Mall — 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays | 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends
- Eastwood — 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays | 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends
- Uptown Bonifacio — 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays | 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends
- Paseo Center — 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily
- Newport City — 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily
