PULSE Picks: 5 February and March Favorites

As March kicks off, I’m reflecting on the little things that brought me love this past month. From chocolatey treats and skincare staples to inspiring stories and swoon-worthy romance, these past few weeks have been full of moments worth savoring. Here are five favorites that made my February a little brighter:

  1. SENKA Perfect Whip Low Ph Calming Cica
I’ve been using SENKA Perfect Whip as my go-to facial cleanser for years. As one of Japan’s leading skincare brands, it’s always been reliable and something I’ve trusted to keep my skin balanced. Recently, they introduced a new low-pH variant infused with Cica, one of the latest trending ingredients in Korean skincare. This smoother, gentler formula has been especially helpful on days when my skin feels more sensitive.
  2. Dave & Buster’s Philippines
The first Dave & Buster’s in the Philippines opened in October 2025 at Opus Mall in Quezon City, but I only really got into it recently after taking my nephew a few times. The arcade-restaurant brings the US chain’s signature mix of arcade games, dining, and drinks to Manila, combining nostalgia-inducing fun with comfort food and a lively sports bar vibe. It’s easy to see why both kids and adults enjoy it.
  3. Angkan Coffee’s Chocnut Latte
Angkan Coffee has a lot of great options, from their local blends and strong matcha lattes to festive holiday specials. The drink I keep going back to is their perfectly nutty Chocnut Latte. Made with real Chocnut bits, it blends coffee, peanuts, and chocolate into something familiar and comforting, especially on busy days when I need a small lift.
  4. Alex Eala
As a tennis fan since I was a child, I’ve long waited for a local Filipino player to root for alongside the likes of Federer, Hingis, Djokovic, and Sharapova. That moment has arrived with Alex Eala. Watching her grow, improve, and steadily rise in the rankings over the last few months has been exciting, especially watching that momentum build toward the first-ever WTA tournament in the Philippines, headlined by Eala herself.
  5. Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette
I’ve been enjoying the new Love Story series on Disney+ that premiered this month. The limited series dramatizes the whirlwind ’90s romance between one of America’s most famous heirs, John F. Kennedy Jr., and the stylish Carolyn Bessette, blending drama, intrigue, and that unmistakable ’90s aesthetic. With striking visuals, a strong soundtrack (including Madonna, Sixpence None the Richer, and The Cranberries), and memorable performances, it’s a beautifully shot love story full of glamour and heartbreak, and it’s easy to see why people are talking about it.

The year may have just started, but these little highlights are the kind that stay with you a bit longer. Stay tuned for the next edition of PULSE Picks!
