Metro Manila, Philippines – Juan Gomez de Liaño is set to make his debut for Gilas Pilipinas as he made the final cut in the 12-man lineup against New Zealand in the second window of the 2027 FIBA World Cup Asian qualifiers on Feb. 26.
Gomez de Liaño will play alongside Converge FiberXers teammate Justin Baltazar, June Mar Fajardo, Justin Brownlee, Dwight Ramos, Kevin Quiambao, Carl Tamayo, Scottie Thompson, and AJ Edu.
Also in the roster are CJ Perez, Calvin Oftana, Chris Newsome, and Quentin Millora-Brown.
Gilas will stake its 2-0 win-loss record against a hungry New Zealand side that is searching for its first win in Group A of the qualifiers.
Game time is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
The Philippines will also face Australia on March 1 at the same venue.
