Metro Manila, Philippines – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday declined to comment on the latest impeachment complaints filed against Vice President Sara Duterte, saying the matter rests with the House of Representatives as lawmakers move forward with the new ouster bids.

“Hindi ko trabaho iyan. Trabaho iyan ng House. Pabayaan mo sila magtrabaho,” Marcos told reporters when asked about the complaints.

He added he was confident lawmakers would handle the matter properly.

His remarks came as House Secretary General Cheloy Garafil confirmed that two fresh impeachment complaints against Duterte were transmitted to the Office of the Speaker on Thursday, Feb. 5.

“Upon receipt and verification of the complaints and their accompanying endorsements, the Office of the Secretary General forwarded the documents to the Office of the Speaker for appropriate action,” Garafil said in a press release issued Friday, Feb. 6.

The two impeachment complaints were refiled on Monday, Feb. 2.
