Cebu, Philippines – Malacañang and St. Luke’s Medical Center denied the alleged medical document circulating online that claims to detail the health condition of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., calling the report fabricated, malicious, and a violation of privacy.
In a statement on Wednesday, Jan. 28, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said the document “is FAKE” and “did not originate from any legitimate medical examination of the President and does not reflect his current health condition.”
“The President is well, fully capable of discharging his official responsibilities, and continues to actively perform his duties,” the PCO said, warning that the spread of falsified medical information is “irresponsible, deceptive, and a clear violation of the President’s right to privacy.”
The Palace urged the public to rely only on official government sources and said legal options are being reviewed in connection with the circulation of the document.
St. Luke’s Medical Center issued a separate denial, saying it is aware of “medical test results falsely circulating online and on social media claiming to pertain to President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr.”
“These documents are FAKE and FALSIFIED,” the hospital said, stressing that it “strictly upholds patient confidentiality and data privacy” and that medical results are released only to patients through authorized hospital channels.
“Any medical results or documents obtained, posted, shared, or circulated outside these authorized channels are considered unauthorized, fraudulent, or falsified,” St. Luke’s added, warning that sharing such documents may expose individuals to legal consequences.
The denials came as Marcos appeared in a video interview shared by Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro, where the president assured the public that he is recovering well and has resumed work despite his doctors advising him to rest.
“Okay na. Ang galing ng mga doktor ko. Binigyan lang ako ng mga gamot,” Marcos said. “Patuloy pa rin yung aking antibiotics. Pero okay na ako.”

He said he had already presided over an Economic Development Council meeting earlier in the week.
Marcos also thanked the public for their concern. “Maraming salamat sa lahat ng tao na have been concerned about my health,” he said. “Thank you for your concern.”

The Palace said the president “remains focused on his work in the service of the Filipino people.”
