Taiwan aims to become strategic AI partner with US in tariff deal

TAIPEI (Reuters) – Taiwan aims to become a strategic artificial intelligence partner with the United States thanks to a deal on reducing tariffs and increasing Taiwanese investment in the country, Taiwan Vice Premier Cheng Li-chiun said on Friday.

Cheng made the comments at a news conference in Washington following the completion of tariff talks with U.S. government officials.
