Metro Manila, Philippines – Motorists will shell out more this week for fuel products as oil firms implement a price hike starting Tuesday, Jan. 13.
In separate announcements on Monday, Cleanfuel and Seaoil said gasoline will go up by P0.30 per liter and P0.20 per liter for diesel.
Seaoil said kerosene will also increase by P0.30 per liter.
The price movement was a reversal from the Department of Energy’s projection of a rollback amid expectations of higher Venezuelan crude output, as well as monitoring of traders on OPEC+ policy signals and any attempt to bolster the market.
Last week, fuel companies implemented a small cut on gasoline prices, with slight increases on diesel and kerosene costs.
