SexBomb Girls’ reunion concert sells out fast, members urge fans to avoid scalpers

Metro Manila, Philippines – Tickets for the third installment of the SexBomb Girls reunion concert sold out in just an hour, underscoring the enduring popularity of the hit-making group more than two decades after their peak.

The show, dubbed “rAWnd 3” of the group’s “Get, Get Aw!” reunion series, is scheduled for Feb. 6 at the Mall of Asia Arena, following two sold-out concerts held in December.

In a message to fans after tickets were snapped up, member Jopay Paguia apologized to supporters who were unable to secure seats and appealed for fairness amid reports of bulk buying and reselling.

“Pasensya na po sa lahat ng hindi na umabot sa pagbili ng ticket. Alam namin kung gaano ninyo hinintay ang Round 3, at ramdam namin ang excitement at support ninyo,” Paguia said.

She also urged those who bought multiple tickets not to profit at the expense of other fans.

“Nakikiusap din kami sa mga bumili ng maraming ticket — sana po ay huwag na nating doblehin ang bentahan. Marami pa pong gustong makapanood,” she said.

Paguia warned against scammers exploiting the concert’s popularity.

“Sa mga scammer po diyan, huwag po sanang gamitin ang concert namin para manloko ng kapwa,” she said, adding, “Sa mga sumusuporta sa amin, mahal ko po kayong lahat.”

[Translation: To scammers out there, please don’t use our concert to deceive others… To everyone supporting us, I love you all.]

Fellow group member Rochelle Pangilinan separately addressed calls from fans to move the concert to a larger venue such as the Philippine Arena, which can seat more than 50,000 people.

“Pangarapin man nating mag-Phil. Arena, pero ang kapalaran ay hindi sumasang-ayon sa Sexbomb Girls,” Pangilinan wrote on Instagram.

Despite the limited capacity, excitement around “rAWnd 3” remains high. Organizers said the concert will feature a 360-degree stage, with directors Paolo Valenciano and Nico Faustino leading the production.

Pangilinan has previously said several producers initially doubted the viability of the reunion concerts.

“Walang gustong mag-produce. Walang kasiguraduhan. Pero tinuloy namin,” she previously wrote.

[Translation: No one wanted to produce it. There was no certainty. But we pushed through.]

The SexBomb Girls rose to fame in the early 2000s with novelty hits and dance crazes such as “Get, Get Aw!,” “The Spaghetti Song,” “Bakit Papa?” and “Halukay Ube.”
