Metro Manila, Philippines – Malacañang dismissed unverified reports of an imminent Cabinet revamp, saying it has not received any information about it.
Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said claims circulating about another round of Cabinet changes were unfounded, at least for now.
“Wala pa po tayong natatanggap na anumang balita, baka may nagpapakalat, pero as of now wala po,” Castro said.

Asked for updates on the performance review of Cabinet members, Castro said the evaluation process remains ongoing and is ultimately up to the President.
“Yes, sabi nga natin, we are making our performance at the discretion of the president,” Castro said.
“Depende na po iyan kung ano po ang makikita ng Pangulo, pero as of now, wala po tayong nababalitaan, wala pong ipinararating na magkakaroon po ng Cabinet revamp,” she added.

Recent changes within the Cabinet included the designation of then–Finance Secretary Ralph Recto as executive secretary, taking over from former Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin.
The leadership shift also placed former presidential investment adviser Frederick Go at the helm of the Department of Finance.
In May 2025, Marcos ordered all Cabinet secretaries to submit courtesy resignation after the disappointing results for the administration in the midterm elections.
