Metro Manila, Philippines – Motorists will see lower prices on fuel products during Christmas week as industry players will implement a huge rollback starting Tuesday, Dec. 23.

In separate announcements on Monday, Cleanfuel and Seaoil said gasoline will go down by P0.80 per liter.

They will also cut per-liter prices of diesel by P1.30.

Seaoil said it will reduce kerosene costs by P1.60 per liter.

Last week, slight downward adjustments were seen on diesel and kerosene prices, while a small price hike was set for gasoline.

According to reports, the Department of Energy attributed this week’s pump price movement to robust supply and low demand that overshadow temporary geopolitical spikes. Another factor was the optimism over the Russia-Ukraine peace deal.

As of Dec. 16, the DOE said the year-to-date total net increase for gasoline stood at P21.30 per liter, P21.55 per liter for diesel, and P6.55 per liter for kerosene.
