Metro Manila, Philippines – Reigning NCAA Most Valuable Player Allen Liwag of College of St. Benilde and Cedrick Manzano of Adamson University are part of the Gilas Pilipinas 12-man lineup for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.
The Gilas roster for the SEA Game has undergone several revisions due to the eligibility restrictions set by host country Thailand.
Also included in the roster are Jamie Malonzo, Thirdy Ravena, Matthew Wright, Ray Parks Jr., Justin Chua, Robert Bolick, Von Pessumal, Abu Tratter, Dalph Panopio, and VJ Pre.
Only Ravena, Parks, Wright, and Pre were retained from the initial list submitted to the organizers.
Justin Brownlee and Ange Kouame were also initially part of the list but were removed following the imposition of FIBA rules on naturalized players.
Gilas, which will be mentored by Norman Black, will open its title retention bid against Malaysia on Dec. 14.
The SEA Games will run from December 9 to 20.
