NewsWatch Plus recognized for responsible journalism at Asia’s Pinnacle Awards 2025

Metro Manila, Philippines – NewsWatch Plus was honored for responsible journalism at the Asia’s Pinnacle Awards 2025 on Friday, Nov. 21, at Okada Manila, an event that gathered leaders from across the region for what organizers called the “Summit of Excellence.”

The citation was presented to NewsWatch Plus lead correspondent Tristan Nodalo, who dedicated the recognition to the newsroom.

“This award is dedicated to the men and women of NewsWatch Plus. It will always be a reminder to create and produce more stories and narratives that matter, and we should work hard to earn the Filipinos’ trust,” Nodalo said.

The Asia’s Pinnacle Awards, founded by chairman Ronnel Ybañez, seeks to honor individuals and institutions whose work exemplifies integrity, service, and purpose.

Organizers described the event as a platform that recognizes leaders who “transform challenges into change, and leadership into legacy.”

Ybañez said the summit places a spotlight on visionaries across business, governance, and innovation.

National Security Adviser Eduardo Año and former Supreme Court Chief Justice Teresita de Castro, Nilo Divina of DivinaLaw, Tony Del Rosario of Coca-Cola Philippines were among the government and business leaders recognized at the event.

“Let’s celebrate excellence. Let’s honor legacy,” Ybañez said.
