Metro Manila, Philippines – Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon said he will finish the flood control probe with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. amid allegations that it was the chief executive who orchestrated multi-billion peso insertions in the 2025 budget.

“Kung ano ang sinimulan ni Pangulo noong SONA e tatapusin niya din ito at kasama niya ako sa pagtatapos dito sa napakalaking iskandalong ito,” he said, adding that his full support for Marcos remains intact.

Dizon pointed out that it was the president who formed the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) — an investigating body tasked to probe anomalies in flood control projects in the last 10 years.

The ICI said in a statement it has yet to review former Rep. Zaldy Co’s allegations before it weighs in on any action.

Co alleged in a video statement that Marcos ordered a P100-billion budget insertion in the bicameral version of the 2025 national budget, coinciding with the resumption of the Senate blue ribbon hearing on the flood control mess.

He said the president’s directive was coursed through Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman.

Dizon hit the former representative for leaving the country amid the high profile corruption scandal.

Ang ginawa ni Congressman Zaldy Co is umalis ng Pilipinas. So sinong paniniwalaan natin?,” he said.

Marcos earlier said no one would be spared from the flood control probe, his allies and family included.
