Metro Manila, Philippines – A portion of North Avenue in Quezon City will be closed to traffic to make way for excavation works for the pedestrian tunnel of the Quezon Memorial Circle Station of MRT-7.

According to the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the section will be impassable to vehicular traffic from Sept. 24 to Nov. 30.

It advised motorists and commuters to take alternate routes.
“We sincerely ask for the public’s cooperation and understanding for this temporary inconvenience, as we work toward delivering a modern, efficient, and comfortable public transport system for all Filipino commuters,” the DOTr said.
The MRT-7 project is a 22-kilometer elevated railway that will connect North Avenue in Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, with 14 stations.

The train line is expected to be operational by 2027 from North EDSA to Sacred Heart station.
