
Metro Manila, Philippines – US pay TV service HBO has casted Alohomora, opening a door for a new journey to Hogwarts, as it announced that the “Harry Potter” television adaptation will debut in 2027.
The statement came Monday, July 14, with the announcement that the highly anticipated series has begun production at the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the United Kingdom.
“The series will debut in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max where it’s available, including in upcoming launch markets Germany, Italy, and the UK,” HBO said in a news release. It did not provide a release date.
The media company released a photo of child actor Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter.

HBO previously said it will have a “faithful adaptation” to J.K. Rowling’ s seven-part novel series, which centered on Harry’s life, and his fight with Hermione and Ron against the dark wizard Lord Voldemort. The series is expected to span a decade.
The magical-themed books have produced one of the highest-grossing media franchises, which put Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint into fame.
