Metro Manila, Philippines – Power distributor Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) will reduce charges by P0.7499 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) in May because of lower generation and transmission charges.

The power distributor said in a statement on Tuesday, May 13, that this will bring down the overall rate for a typical household rate to P12.2628/kWh.

Residential customers consuming 200 kWh may see a reduction of around P150 in their May billing statement.
