The De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute RoboSports Tournament (DRST) is an annual robotics competition that integrates robotics, sports, and research to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) among robotics enthusiasts of all ages. The DRST is organized in partnership with Pilipinas RoboSports (RoboRAVE Robotics Consultancy and Services).
It was initially conceptualized in 2020 but was not realized due to the pandemic. The tournament was relaunched in 2023 and was attended by over 400 students and coaches.
The DLSMHSI RoboSports Tournament is held at the De La Salle Animo Center, De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, City of Dasmariñ as, Cavite. This event is open to all public and private K-12 and higher educational institutions nationwide. It serves as an excellent venue for student roboticists and robotics coaches to showcase their passions and skills in building, designing, and programming robots to a broader audience, as applied in robotics sports and robotics research.
This year’s DRST shall be held on March 1 to 2, 2025 with an estimated target participants of over 1,000 students, coaches, and guests. It consists of the following events: BoxBot 1kg Auto, BoxBot 1kg RC, Boxbot 1kg RAPTOR Basic RC, Track Mania Auto, and Track Mania RC.
