Dennis Trillo reflects on first MMFF award

Metro Manila, Philippines – Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo shared a memorable moment by posting a photo when he won Best Supporting Actor at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for the 2004 movie, “Aishite Imasu 1941: Mahal Kita.”

The film was directed by Joel Lamangan and written by Ricky Lee. “My very first movie, my very first award,” Trillo wrote.The film is a romantic war drama during the Japanese occupation. Trillo portrayed a transgender woman who becomes a guerilla spy investigating Japanese forces.Trillo posted the picture after he won Best Actor at the MMFF 2024 for his effective portrayal in the Zig Dulay film, “Green Bones.”
