Fuel price hike in Christmas week

Gasoline pumps at fuel stations (NewsWatch Plus File)

Metro Manila, Philippines – Oil companies will raise pump prices on Christmas Eve, according to separate advisories on Monday, Dec. 23.

Caltex, Cleanfuel and Seaoil said there will be a price hike for diesel by P1.45 per liter and gasoline by P0.50 per liter.

Caltex and Seaoil will also have an increase for kerosene prices by P0.75 per liter.

The Department of Energy earlier attributed the price movement this week to the stronger dollar and the fall of US crude oil stocks.
