Metro Manila, Philippines — Land travel to the Bicol Region has been suspended amid the threat of Super Typhoon Pepito, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said on Saturday, Nov. 16.
“This is for the prevention of the buildup of stranded passengers and vehicles along Maharlika Highway and other major roads in the areas that will be affected by the storm,” the LTFRB said in a statement.
The LTFRB said to wait for their advice before resuming normal operations.
The agency also discouraged the travel of buses and trucks to Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon due to the cyclone’s potential impact.
Pepito is forecast to cross Luzon during its stay in the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
