
Metro Manila, Philippines — The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) has announced the postponement of all Season 87 scheduled games for Wednesday, Oct. 23.
This decision follows the class suspensions declared by Manila City, Quezon City, and Pasay City due to Tropical Storm Kristine.
Among the postponed matches are the men’s basketball games featuring the Adamson University Soaring Falcons and Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles at 4 p.m., and the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons and University of the East Red Warriors at 6 p.m..
Also affected are the junior boys’ matches between the Far Eastern University-Diliman and Ateneo de Manila University, and De La Salle-Zobel versus Adamson University.
Meanwhile, the high school boys’ volleyball matchups for the canceled gameday are University of Santo Tomas versus Adamson, National University Nazareth School versus UE, FEU-D versus University of the Philippines Integrated School, and De La Salle Zobel versus Ateneo.
The basketball games were scheduled to take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, while the volleyball matches were set for Paco Arena in Manila.
The league will provide updates regarding the rescheduling of the postponed games at a later date.
