
Metro Manila, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has released the route of the heroes’ parade for Filipino Olympians set on Tuesday, Aug. 13, advising motorists of affected roads.
The parade will start at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay and will end at the Malacañan Palace located near Mendiola St. in Manila, the capital city.

The parade will start at the PICC and end at the Malacañang. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes

The MMDA said it will affect traffic in the following areas: V. Sotto Street, Roxas Blvd., P. Burgos Avenue, Finance Road, Ayala Blvd., P. Casal St., Legarda St., and Mendiola St.
MMDA advised motorists to take the following alternate routes:
For northbound towards R10:
+ Roxas Blvd. Service Road
+ Taft Avenue
+ F.B. Harrison St.
+ A. Mabini St.
For southbound:
+ T.M. Kalaw
+ U.N. Avenue
The MMDA also said it will implement a stop-and-go scheme in major areas where the parade is expected to pass.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will conduct a special program for the Filipino athletes who participated in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The closing ceremony of the 2024 Summer Games is slated for Monday at 3 a.m. (Manila time).
Team Philippines bagged two gold medals courtesy of gymnast Carlos Yulo and two bronze medals from boxers Aira Villegas and Nesthy Petecio.
Six Filipino athletes will compete at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, which will be held from Aug. 28 to Sept. 8.
