#WalangPasok: Class suspensions on July 26

Metro Manila, Philippines — A number of local government units have suspended classes on Friday, July 26, in the aftermath of Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara also said the opening of classes in schools hosting evacuees will be delayed.

The University of the Philippines-Diliman said it will set mid-year classes to asynchronous mode. 

Students in all levels in San Pedro, Laguna will also be having online classes on Friday. 

Here’s the list of local governments that announced class suspensions:

National Capital Region

Caloocan City – all levels (public and private) 

Pasig City – all levels (public and private)

Ilocos region

Pangasinan – all levels (public and private) 

Dagupan City – all levels (public and private), including government work 

Central Luzon

Bulacan – all levels (public and private), including government work

Concepcion, Tarlac – all levels (public and private) 

Paniqui, Tarlac – all levels (public and private) 

Calabarzon

Biñan, Laguna – all levels (public and private) 

Bicol region

Camarines Sur – all levels (public and private)
