Metro Manila, Philippines — Krishnah Marie Gravidez of Baguio City was crowned Miss World Philippines 2024 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, in a coronation night that lasted until the wee hours of Saturday, July 20.
Gravidez, with her blue and silver bedazzled gown as the final look, bested 32 other candidates and will represent the country in the international stage in 2025.
The 23-year-old stunner succeeded Miss World Philippines 2022/2023 Gwendolyne Fourniol. Reigning Miss World 2023 Krystyna Pyszková of Czech Republic also graced the event.
Jasmine Urquico Omay of Tarlac province and Sophia Bianca Santos of Pampanga were the 1st and 2nd princesses, respectively.
Other winners were:
+ Dia Maté of Cavite, Miss Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas
+ Patricia Bianca Tapia of Batangas, Miss Philippines Tourism
+ Nikki Buenafe of Pangasinan, Miss Multinational Philippines
+ Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano of Bicol region, Face of Beauty Philippines
The Baguio City queen also took home best evening gown, best swimsuit and seven special awards.
During the question and answer portion, she was asked whether inclusivity should be a top priority among pageants.
Her winning answer: “Pageantry is a platform where we express ourselves as women and men. I feel like this is a great platform for us to promote our advocacies, the causes that we are fighting for, and the things that we love. I think that in a world that’s evolving, I think we as humans should evolve too.”
In June, Gravidez withdrew from the Miss Charm International competition to join the official list of candidates for Miss World Philippines this year.
