Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 24) — Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday said she has not yet received any document from the International Criminal Court (ICC) after former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said she was named as one of the respondents in the tribunal’s drug war probe.
“Wala. Wala akong natanggap na document galing sa ICC [None. I didn’ t receive any document from the ICC],” Duterte told reporters in an ambush interview.
Duterte on Tuesday said she is ready to face allegations of her supposed involvement in the bloody anti-drug campaign launched by her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte — but only as long as she is tried by a Philippine court.
She also questioned the timing of the accusations, saying she was only implicated after she won the vice presidency.
