LTFRB: Final list of consolidated PUVs out by Monday

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 5) — The commuting public can expect the final number of consolidated public utility vehicles (PUVs) next week as the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) central office will receive all the figures within the day, an official said Friday.

Yung listahan at pagbubuo ng listahan ay nasa final stage na because NCR (National Capital Region) just submitted yung huling data nila as of Dec. 23,” LTFRB member Riza Paches told reporters.

\”Within the day, the list will be all in in the LTFRB central office, and the final list will be given to whoever is interested by Monday,\” she added.

Jeepney operators had until Dec. 31, 2023 to register for consolidation under the government’s PUV modernization program. Those who failed to sign up will be allowed to ply the road until Jan. 31.

The franchises of unconsolidated PUVs will then be canceled or revoked by the LTFRB.

In Metro Manila, the LTFRB logged 21,655 consolidated PUVs, which is equivalent to 51.34% of all of its authorized units.
