Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 28) — At least five passengers were slightly injured after a bus tried to avoid hitting a police vehicle which suddenly entered the EDSA bus lane Wednesday afternoon, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said.
In the dashcam footage released by the DOTr on Thursday, the bus could be seen cruising southbound along its designated lane when the white police car abruptly entered from a regular EDSA lane, causing the bus to crash into an MRT-3 railing near the Santolan station.
Five bus passengers were brought to the Quirino Memorial Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The transport agency reminded government vehicles to be careful in entering the EDSA bus lane, adding that the welfare of the riding public should always be prioritized.
