
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 26) — The Philippine National Railways (PNR) will reopen its route from Naga City in Camarines Sur to Legazpi City in Albay on Dec. 27 after operations were suspended in 2017.
There will be two trips daily from Naga to Legazpi and vice-versa in the over 100-kilometer-long railroad connecting the two cities in the Bicol Region.
The estimated travel time from the first to the last station is three hours and four minutes.
From Naga to Legazpi, the first train will leave at 5:38 a.m. while the second and last trip is at 5:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, from Legazpi to Naga, the first train will leave at 5:45 a.m. and the next one at 5:47 p.m.
Fares range from ₱15 to ₱155.
The PNR said the resumption of operations also comes with the opening of stations at Travesia, Daraga, and Legazpi.
The Naga-Legazpi-Naga route will also stop at Naga, Pili, Iriga, Polangui, and Ligao.
There will also be eight flag stops, including Baao, Lourdes, Bato, Matacon, Oas, Bagtang, Washington Drive, and Capantawan.
In April 2017, PNR suspended operations connecting Naga and Legazpi due to lack of train coaches and locomotives.
