Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 23) — Dawn Macandili-Catindig is the first from the disbanded F2 Logistics Cargo Movers volleyball team to find a new home in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
The former PVL Best Libero is taking her talents to the reigning bronze medalists Cignal HD Spikers.
“It’s the dawn of a new era, #AwesomeNation. Welcome to Team Awesome, Dawn Macandili-Catindig,” the club announced Friday afternoon.
Macandili-Catindig will be joining 2023 PVL Invitational Conference MVP Ces Molina, Best Middle Blocker Ria Meneses, Best Setter Gel Cayuna, and rookie Vanie Gandler in her new team.
“I’m looking forward to playing with them instead of against kasi syempre sobrang grabe rin pag kalaban namin sila before sobrang nahirapan rin kami (because it’s difficult when you have them as opponents),” Macandili-Catindig said.
Macandili-Catindig was F2’s pioneering player in 2016, winning five titles in the now-defunct Philippine Superliga and the PNVF Champions League for Women (2021).
The libero was also a former three-time UAAP champion and a Finals MVP with the De La Salle Lady Spikers.
