
Miss Universe PH’s Michelle Dee among favorites in online voting for Asia-Pacific
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 25) — Michelle Marquez Dee, the country’s bet to the 71st Miss Universe pageant, was among three candidates who topped the online voting in the Asia-Pacific region less than a month before the coronation.
The candidate who receives the highest number of online votes though the Miss Universe app will secure a spot in the semifinal round.
Dee, Myanmar’s Amara Bo, and Thailand’s Anntonia Porsild were the top three candidates in the Asia-Pacific region as of Oct. 20.
The other bets who topped the voting were from the Ukraine, Albania, and France in Europe; South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Cameroon in Africa; and Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, and Chile in the Americas.
Dee will represent the Philippines at the coronation event in El Salvador on Nov. 18 in the hopes of snatching the country’s fifth Miss Universe crown.
USA’s R’Bonney Gabriel will crown her successor.
