Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 4) – Motorists need to brace for higher fuel prices as oil companies announced another round of upward adjustments this week.
In separate advisories, Seaoil and Cleanfuel said per-liter prices will go up by ₱ 1.20 for diesel and 50 centavos for gasoline starting Tuesday.
Kerosene, on the other hand, will cost ₱1.10 more per liter, Seaoil added.
Seaoil’s price increase will take effect at 6 a.m. while Cleanfuel’s adjustment will start at 4:01 p.m.
Other oil companies are expected to make their own announcement at the start of the week.
This will be the ninth consecutive week of oil price hikes.
The monitoring of the Department of Energy on August 29 showed that price adjustments resulted in a year-to-date increase of gasoline by ₱14.80 per liter, diesel by ₱9.50 per liter and kerosene by ₱6.64 per liter.
