Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 4) — Typhoon Hanna is forecast to make landfall over the coast of Guangdong or Fujian, in southeastern China on Tuesday morning or afternoon as a severe tropical storm, the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Hanna left the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 8 a.m. Monday.

However, PAGASA added that parts of western Luzon will continue to experience heavy rains for the next three days due to the southwest monsoon.

State meteorologists earlier said Hanna continues to enhance the southwest monsoon or habagat.

Hanna was last seen 360 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes as of 5 a.m. Signal No. 1 is now lifted over Batanes.

Yellow rainfall warning was raised over the following areas: Zambales, Bataan, Cavite

PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said fair weather can be expected by Wednesday, but Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan can still experience rains.

Possible LPA

Meanwhile, PAGASA is monitoring a cloud cluster in the eastern portion of northern Luzon that could develop into a low pressure area.
