#WalangPasok: Class suspension on Aug. 29 due to ‘Goring’

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 28) – The first day of school year 2023-2024 in some areas will be postponed as several local government units (LGUs) announced the suspension of classes on Tuesday due to Typhoon Goring.

Work in government offices in some areas is also suspended.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Goring is seen to pass close to Batanes and may make landfall in the province.

Here are the LGUs that announced suspension of classes and work in government offices:

Cagayan (classes in all levels)

Negros Occidental

-Bacolod City (classes in all levels, work in government offices)

-Bago City (classes in all levels)

-Rizal Town (classes in all levels, work in government offices)

Antique

-Barbaza (classes in all levels)

-Laua-an (elementary to senior high school)

-Tobias Fornier (classes in all levels)

-Belison (classes in all levels)

-Libertad (pre-school to senior high school)

-Patnongon (classes in all levels)

-Hamtic (classes in all levels)

-Valderrama (classes in all levels)

-Culasi (primary to junior high school)

-Sibalom (pre-school to senior high school)

-San Jose (pre-school to senior high school)

-Pandan (classes in all levels)

Occidental Mindoro  (classes in all levels)

Guimaras (classes in all levels)

-Manoag (pre-school to senior high school)

Pangasinan

-Mangaldan (classes in all levels)

San Luis, Batangas (classes in all levels)

Palawan

-Busunga (pre-school to gradeschool)

-El Nido  (classes in all levels)
