
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 19) — Oil prices will go up for the seventh consecutive week beginning Tuesday, based on a forecast by an oil firm.
Unioil on Saturday said motorists should expect to shell out 80 centavos to ₱1 more per liter for gasoline for the week of Aug. 22 to 28, while diesel prices may increase by 10 to 20 centavos per liter.
Fuel prices have been on the rise since July 17.
Last week, the per-liter cost of gasoline went up by ₱1.90, diesel by ₱1.50, and kerosene by ₱2.50.
In its latest oil monitoring, the Department of Energy said gasoline, diesel, and kerosene have seen year-to-date per-liter net increases of ₱13.40, ₱8.60, and ₱5.14 respectively.
