Pump prices to go up for 6th consecutive week

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 14) – Another wave of fuel price increases will take effect starting Tuesday, an oil company announced Monday.

In separate advisories, Seaoil, Petro Gazz, Caltex, and Pheonix Petroleum said the per liter cost of gasoline will go up by ₱1.90 while the price of diesel will increase by ₱1.50 per liter.

This is the sixth consecutive week of oil price increases since July 17.

According to the Department of Energy, the price adjustment resulted in a year-to-date net increase of diesel of ₱7.10 per liter, gasoline of ₱11.50 per liter and kerosene of ₱2.60 per liter.

Kerosene costs will go up by ₱2.50 per liter in fuel stations of Seaoil and Caltex.
