
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 12) – Another wave of price increases in fuel products is seen to take effect next week, according to a forecast by Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. on Saturday.
Unioil said fuel price adjustments are expected from Aug. 15 to 21.
The per liter cost of gasoline may go up by ₱1.70 to ₱1.90 while diesel is seen to increase by ₱1.40 to ₱1.60 per liter.
Firms have raised the per liter cost of fuel products for the fifth consecutive week since July 17.
Last Aug. 8, the per liter cost of diesel was up to ₱4.
The Department of Energy monitoring showed that the price adjustment resulted in a year-to-date net increase of diesel of ₱7.10 per liter, gasoline of ₱11.50 per liter and kerosene of ₱2.60 per liter.
