Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 3) — Some local government units (LGUs) announced class suspensions on Thursday due to the effects of the enhanced southwest monsoon.
Both Typhoon Falcon and Super Typhoon Egay are already outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) but several areas have declared a state of calamity due to continuous rains and flooding.
Here are the LGUs that issued suspensions:
Pampanga – all levels in public and private schools (until Aug. 4)
Dagupan City – all levels in public and private schools, including work in government offices (until Aug. 4)
Baguio City – preschool to senior highschool in public and private schools
Navotas City – all levels in public and private schools
