Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 2) — Emergency road repairs will be conducted on several portions of EDSA from the evening of Aug. 4 to early morning of Aug. 9, with motorists advised to take alternate routes.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said the Department of Public Works and Highways will conduct emergency asphalt overlay and reblocking along the stretch of EDSA Busway, from Buendia to Muñoz, starting 10 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. next Wednesday.
The repairs are needed following damage caused by the past storm and monsoon rains, the agency explained.
It listed the affected roads as follows:
1. Fronting Hurom / Philam Homes
2. Before Benitez St. (after Trinoma)
3. HQ BBM (near Octoboy)
4. DDT Skytower (Centris Station) – Albano
5. Before Guadalupe Bridge (whole length)
6. Rockwell Footbridge – Kalayaan (whole length)
7. Footbridge before Trinoma – front Landmark
8. Quezon City 2nd DEO Office – Centris
9. Corinthians – after AFP
10. Before MMDA (Sunshine Media Marketing)
11. Guadalupe MRT – Guadalupe Bridge
12. Footbridge Trinoma – SM North
13. Front SM North and Nice Hotel – Muñoz footbridge
14. Fronting Ricoa – Avida Towers
15. Before Floor Central and Wilcon
In its advisory, the MMDA also enumerated alternate routes that motorists may take to avoid inconvenience.
