Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 31) — Authorities on Monday reported that they found the boat used by the four Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescue personnel who went missing at the height of Typhoon Egay’s wrath last week.
The aluminum boat was retrieved on Sunday in Barangay Fuga in Aparri, Cagayan after it capsized in the vicinity waters of Aparri during a rescue mission for M/Tug Iroquois last July 26.
The PCG said the wide aerial and surface search continues for the four personnel.
It has not disclosed the identities of the missing personnel.
