Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 28) — Filipino-American actress Eva Noblezada will star in the upcoming musical adaption of the classic novel “The Great Gatsby.”
American theatre company Paper Mill Playhouse said Noblezada will play Daisy Buchanan in the forthcoming production based on the popular F. Scott Fitzgerald work.
The musical will run on October 12-November 12 at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey.
Set in the Jazz Age, “The Great Gatsby” tells the story of self-made millionaire Jay Gatsby and his pursuit to reunite with former lover, Daisy Buchanan.
Noblezada made her Broadway debut in 2017 as Kim in “Miss Saigon,” which earned her first Tony Awards nomination. She was nominated again for a Tony in 2019 for playing Eurydice in “Hadestown.”
She also starred in the 2019 feature film “Yellow Rose” alongside Lea Salonga.
