
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 9) – The Philippine Womens’ National Football Team on Sunday announced its final roster for their debut at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The Filipinas, 46th in the FIFA world rankings, will first face Switzerland at the group stage of the ninth edition of the games on July 21.

The final lineup includes 23 members and three reserves, namely:
Goalkeepers: Kiara Fontanilla, Kaiya Jota, and Olivia McDaniel.
Defenders: Alicia Barker, Angela Beard, Reina Bonta, Malea Cesar, Jessika Cowart, Sofia Harrison, co-captain Hali Long, and Dominique Randle.
Midfielders: Team captain Tahnai Annis, Ryley Bugay, Anicka Castañeda, Sara Eggesvik, Quinley Quezada, and Jaclyn Sawicki.
Forwards: Sarina Bolden, Isabella Flanigan, Carleigh Frilles, Katrina Guillou, Chandler McDaniel, and Meryll Serrano.
Reserves: Inna Palacios, Maya Alcantara, and Isabella Pasion.
Meanwhile, three players who were called for the Filipinas World Cup provisional squad -– Kaya Hawkinson, Eva Madarang, and Jessica Miclat –- were not named in the lineup.
According to the Philippine Football Federation, the ladies will leave for New Zealand on Monday, July 10.
