Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 16) – Authorities have so far recorded one injured person in Laguna, following the 6.3 magnitude earthquake that jolted the town on Thursday.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, no casualties and missing individuals were currently recorded.
It added that cracks in the walls and damage to the ceiling were seen in a health center and some schools in Mabacong, Batangas.
Meanwhile, Mayor Peter Palacio told CNN Philippines Balitaan that no injured person and major infrastructure damage were recorded so far in Calatagan, Batangas.
As of 8 a.m., state seismologists said it registered 32 aftershocks in Calatagan, which ranged from 1.6 to 3.1 magnitude.
“Wala na pong naramdaman na aftershocks. Parang mahihina naman yung aftershocks,” Palacio said Friday.
[Translation: We did not feel the aftershocks. It seems like the aftershocks were weak.]
He said the Calatagan Senior High School, which is a four-storey building, is safe.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology earlier explained that the quake originated from the Manila Trench but there was no tsunami because the tremor was deep.
The epicenter was 15 kilometers west of Calatagan, recorded at 10:19 a.m.
