
Magnitude 5 earthquake jolts Occidental Mindoro
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 13) — A magnitude 5 earthquake hit Lubang, Occidental Mindoro on Tuesday evening, state seismologists reported.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tectonic quake jolted the municipality of Lubang at 8:57 p.m.
Intensity II was recorded in Quezon City while Intensity I was felt in Tagaytay City and Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
No damage is expected but Phivolcs warns of aftershocks.
