Filipino Chef bags James Beard award

Another Filipino culinary artist made it to the “Oscars” of the culinary world.

Chef Margarita Lorenzana-Manzke of Los Angeles-based restaurant République was recently recognized as the outstanding pastry chef or baker at the 2023 James Beard awards.
