(CNN Philippines, May 14) — The Philippines showed its dominance again in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as the Sibol men’s team swept Malaysia, 3-0, in the grand finals Sunday at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.
With the win, the Philippines captured its third consecutive gold medal in the tournament.
The best-of-five championship series may seem like a lopsided victory for Sibol, but Malaysia fought hard in every match.
The first two matches had Malaysia holding early control of the map. But the Filipinos were more disciplined in getting their objectives and their decision-making spelled the difference.
In the third match, Sibol team played aggressively and intimidated their counterparts to seal the win.
The Philippines now has 42 gold medals in the biennial meet.
