
(CNN Philippines, May 9) — Teia Salvino bagged the Philippines’ second gold medal in swimming at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.
The 17-year-old clocked in an official time of 1:01.64 to rule the 100m backstroke category Tuesday. This is the new SEA Games and Philippine record.
Faith Khoo of Singapore followed at second place with 1:03.68 while Indonesia’s Angel Yus finished at third with 1:03.71.
The Philippines clinched its 24th gold medal in the biennial meet following Salvino’s win.
